Breathe, laugh, love…how to really live? Yes!

Do you want to REALLY live? It’s simple, truly.

Did you breathe today? Are you sure? Did you take some really deep breaths and focus on them? Did you laugh today? Don’t recall? If it was a great laugh, you’d remember.  😉  Did you show love to someone…even yourself? If so, you experienced a warm fuzzy and/or made someone’s day.

Breathe, laugh, love. Three simple but vital things equal really LIVING each day.

Especially during this unprecedented time of the Coronavirus pandemic, these 3 are more important than ever. As most of us have some extra time now, be sure to take good care of yourself!

Breathe

Focusing on breathing both soothes and invigorates.

Focused breathing can literally slow your heart rate and de-stress you or give you energy. In only a minute or two.

Here’s how I do it: Inhale for 5 seconds in a deep belly breath, hold for 3 seconds, then blow out through pursed lips for 7 seconds.

Repeat for as many as you like. As you do this, become aware of your body and just focus on your breath.

You’re providing more oxygen to your whole system and your body thanks you.

Anywhere, anytime

I like to do focused breathing wherever I am. On a walk, at the computer, just before sleep and when I wake up.

Along with these deep breaths, I include daily stretching to remain flexible.

Being flexible means better balance, fewer injuries of all kinds, and it feels terrific!

If you could use more flexibility, try stretching daily in any way. Little by little you’ll improve. I promise.  🙂

Laugh

  • Is there a hole in your shoe? No? Then how’d your foot get in?
  • When geese are flying, why is one side of the “V” longer than the other? Because it has more geese.
  • Barista: How do you take your coffee?  Me: Very, very seriously.
  • Don’t understand why people pick their noses. I was born with mine.
  • I was told a mask and gloves were enough to go to the grocery store. They lied: everyone else had clothes on.

Simple laughter does amazing things for your health and mood. Not to mention, it’s free!   😆

Love. If we don’t love, we don’t really experience life.

  1. It’s a short word, easy to spell, difficult to define, and impossible to live without.
  2. Love is when your dog licks your face when you come home, even though you’ve left him alone all day.
  3. It’s giving someone the power to destroy you, and trusting them not to.
  4. Love is a fresh, new little life. See below!

We survive on love. Love is our rock, our joy, our contentment. It’s pure and reaches to the deepest part of us, touching us like nothing else can.

Love’s Author

I believe that God is the very essence of perfect love. He gives our lives meaning with His unsurpassed love as we experience it with Him and with others.

Therefore, I pray that you have this connection with Him. (Email me if you have questions.)

And after you take care of and love yourself today, whose day can you make a little brighter?

…Now, meet the new little love of my life, Charlie Cooper Carlson!

If you took part in breathing, laughing, and loving, then you really LIVED today!

Thanks for being here!

I pray that you will experience peace and health in the midst of this crazy time. Remember,

Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God

and Breathe, laugh, love…how to really LIVE!

The sweetest of blessings and blooms to you and yours,

Pam (I mean a new GRANDMA!!)
