Here are 32 of my favorite movies. They are safe, absolutely fun and, if you’re like me, will delight you.

I have my favorite movies and I LOVE them! When I watch one of my favs, I feel like I am wrapped in a big cozy hug.

Watching movies is actually good for you. Click here if you don’t believe me.

I get re-amazed at how entertaining they are each time I push play. (Rick’s such a good sport to watch all of them with me.)

That being said, I want to showcase my top 32, “Pam-approved” movies so you can share in the delight.

Criteria for a great movie (in my book) are as follows:

  1. Safe, as in purity. I don’t like to watch movies with sexual content.

  2. Fun. “Sharp” or “clever”– very well done. (By the way, most Pixar movies meet this criterion and beyond, but they’re not on these lists!)

  3. Romance–speaks for itself.

  4. Safely funny–not nasty.

If you agree with these specifications, read on. I will break the 32 movies into 5 categories.

Safe and absolutely fun movie watching

The following 11 movies are safe, absolutely fun, and oh so enjoyable.  🙂

  • While You Were Sleeping (Sandra Bullock)

  • Return to Me (David Duchovny)

  • Leap Year (Matthew Goode)

  • Pride and Prejudice (Keira Knightley)

  • Bride and Prejudice (Aishwarya Rai)

  • Sabrina (Greg Kinnear)

  • No Reservations (Aaron Eckhart)

  • Letters to Juliet (Amanda Seyfried)

  • A Walk in the Clouds (Keanu Reeves)

  • You’ve Got Mail (Meg Ryan)

  • A Cinderella Story (Hillary Duff)

These 6 movies are “almost safe.”  A scene or a few lines are a bit uncomfortable.

  • Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day (Frances McDormand)

  • Just Like Heaven (Reese Witherspoon)

  • The Proposal (Ryan Reynolds)

  • Sleepless in Seattle (Tom Hanks)

  • A Walk to Remember (Mandy Moore)

  • Sweet Home Alabama (Reese Witherspoon)

The following 3 movies are really fun but have a few very uncomfortable lines/scenes.

  • The Wedding Planner (Matthew McConaughey)

  • 13 Going on 30 (Mark Ruffalo)

  • Hitch (Kevin James)

Want some excitement? These 7 are safe and fun action/adventure movies.

  • Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey, Jr.)

  • Sherlock Holmes-A Game of Shadows (Jude Law)

  • Sahara (Steve Zahn)

  • National Treasure (Nicolas Cage)

  • National Treasure 2 (Justin Bartha)

  • Ocean’s Eleven (George Clooney)

  • Ocean’s Twelve (Matt Damon)

And last, but not least, we need some real laughs.  These 5 are absolutely fun!

  • She’s the Man (Amanda Bynes)

  • O Brother, Where Art Thou? (George Clooney)

  • My Big Fat Greek Wedding (Nia Vardalos)

  • Mr. Deeds (Adam Sandler)

  • Big Fat Liar (Paul Giamatti)
